Welcome, and thank you for visiting St Philip's Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ.
Who Are We?
We are part of the Church of England and have been in the centre of West Howe since 1953. We believe that through Jesus Christ we can encounter the God who created and loves us, that when we engage with Him through worship, His word, sharing communion together and prayer, that we are transformed and equipped by the Holy Spirit to live as Jesus' disciples and serve Him in the world.
In all that we do we aim to share
the love of Jesus whether through our words or deeds.
However, the best way to find out about us is to come and see for yourselves, so why not join us and see what we're like and what we get up to?
We'd really love to meet you!
Our main service is on Sunday mornings from 10:15 to 11:30am.
This is a key point in our week
when we come together as a community to worship. We have Communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month and the first Sunday is particularly geared towards all ages. Our services are informal and we have activities for children to keep little hands and minds busy during the sermon.
And it's not just about Sundays
We have a short service of Holy Communion on Wednesdays from 10.00 to 10.30am and Night Prayer in the evening at 7.30pm.
Homegroups meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (see midweek for further details)

If you are facing a crisis or have something that is bothering you, we would be happy to pray with you for a few minutes after any of our services. You don't have to be a regular churchgoer for this. Nor do you have to tell anyone what the trouble is if you don't want to. Simply come along and ask for prayer. Or you can email your prayer request.
We invite to join our mailing list and receive emails we send out with news.
